My WD2000JB (200Gb) was working perfectly yesterday. Computer was running a little sluggish from all the stupid spyware so I reloaded my most current ghost image. I have a WD 40Gb (EIDE) as the system drive, a WD 120Gb (EIDE) as my apps drive and the WD 200Gb (SATA) as my media drive. After the reinstall of the OS on the 40Gb I can no longer use my 200Gb SATA drive. The computer detects it during POST and in the BIOS, and I can see it in the device manager (Win XP Pro), but it is not showing up in disk management or in “my computer” I’ve looked all over and can’t find any solutions. I tried using R-Studio also, R-Studio sees the drive physically, but says there is no file system on it which i know that there is because I was using it right before I reghosted the system. The ghost operation has nothing to do with either of my 2 storage drives so it has to be something software related within Windows XP. I have SP1 installed and the 48bit LBA is enabled. This is really driving me nuts because i’ve got over 170Gb of stuff on there and it would take me at least a year to get it all back… Please Please Please help 🙂
