WEB content capturing with SQUID

Hello All ,

i'm using RedHat Linux with SQUID As my proxy server , i'm using sarg for browsing utility reoprting . all are working fine.

i want to capture the content user browsed from server. Is this possible with squid ???
or is there any other software to do so ??????

the server logs ( usually in /var/logs/httpd/ )
have what file ,from what ip, at what time, on what date.
so every access to your webserver is already logged.

if you mean monitor what people are seeing when they go online from company network, you should be able to get the system logs to do that.

1. you will have capture the packets in real time
2. get to the server logs and get the urls.

With SQUID you can only get files which is cached by SQUID.
To capture ALL USER TRAFFIC - use tcpdump ( or ethereal (
