    Hello Friend,

Firstly, I have to apologize in advance if this is not the right place to ask this question as I’m new to this platform.

I have recently completed my graduation in B tech in a computer science subject. Now, this is a question that is roaming around my mind now from quite a long time. Is it a good option to opt for a web developer as a career. Many people say web development as a career is coming to an end because of user-friendly platforms such as WordPress. Is it so? Please provide me a genuine reply.

      Hey Girl!
I understand that’s a time of tension but when it comes to web development it’s a never-ending career. Don’t worry it will never come to an end, yes but it’s something which has daily updates and u have to move according to it’s changes so that u also grow simultaneously. And yes there are free platforms but they may cost more than expected. Let’s take an example. Below I’m mentioning the disadvantages of WordPress..

      Disadvantages of WordPress:-
      * The biggest disadvantage of WordPress is undoubtedly its security as everyone is aware it’s an open platform and is completely reliable on plugins for the customization and other changes. All the themes and plugins are made by the third party so there is no one to monitor them and take care of the security.
      * Cost more than expected: I know to this u all will say but WordPress is free. Yes u are right WordPress is free but the plugins and themes are paid and in total this may cost more than expected. It’s expensive to stay up to date with the WordPress updates until and unless you’re WordPress designer.
      * Needs Frequent updates: WordPress demands frequent updates for the proper functioning.
      * Customization needs coding: The WordPress theme customization needs coding and it’s not possible for the non-coder people.
      * WordPress can not build the quality a well-coded site can build. For eg., if a person whats to start with some business and need professional website it’s better to go to some web development company (https://squareboat.com/) as WordPress may cost slightly less or equal but can not provide the quality that a web developer can provide.

That’s definitely a nope! You still need a person that understands codes and integrations to work with a wordpress site which is the web developer. Functions of a wordpress theme doesn’t satisfy other client. You still need to improve it. If no developer who understands, who will do it? Just my opinion.
