Web Forms

By tim.williams ·
I have used the goldmine webimport wizard and it has created my a for html document and also a webmail.asp file, however I have uploaded both files to my host but when I try and submit from my form I get the error

"Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/cheese/ASPMail.asp, line 77

System message, messageid = 0x800401f3"

Does anyone know why this is?

Cannot create mail object

by bschaettle In reply to Web Forms

I suspect that whatever mail package it's using isn't installed or available on your host. When the server-side code in ASPMail.asp tries to create an email object, the server has no idea what it's asking for, and it dies with "Server.CreateObject Failed"

You'll need to talk to whoever is in charge of the server to get the appropriate software installed.

If the file \cheese\ASPMail.asp is your file, you can open it with an editor, and look at line 77, there you will see something like..

somename = CreateObject("ObjectName or PathToObject")

The CreateObject function is trying to load an ActiveX object into memory, and is failing either because the object is registered with Windows, or does not exist.

Your web hosting folks can help you out.

In a folder on you web site called Cheese there is a file called ASPMail.asp...Opent that file and look at line 77 and see what var or information it is looking for.
