You're not giving enough info. Have you tried to install it via an rpm? Do you have sendmail set up? Have you verified that that the imap service is installed and running (chkconfig --list | grep imap)

In order for us to troubleshoot, you've got to cover the basics.

Thanks for the reply. Some comments for clarity:
1.Have you tried to install it via an rpm: Which package do you refer to?
2.Sendmail is set up and imap service is installed too.

Your comments will be appreciated.

Angelo.

I think they were asking about the squirrelmail rpm. There is an rpm for squirrelmail on the RedHat 8.0 Cd's, its version 1.2 or something like that, I suggest downloading the newest one at the squirrelmail site (www.squirrelmail.org).

If your going to do this you will need to decide on a few things.

First, to have your system send and recieve email, you will need either: sendmail, postfix or qmail (there are more options but these are the most popular).

you'll need imap running on theserver and possibly pop3 (depending on your needs).

Go through the squirrelmail site for the config info

Good luck
