HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. HTTP defines how messages are formatted and transmitted, and what actions Web servers and browsers should take in response to various commands. Url stands for Universal Resource Locater, that is the global address of documents and other resources on the World Wide Web.

These answers are correct. Macs are popular for Graphics work. Make sure your HTML class will teach you some of the "under the hood" fundamentals--you'll be able to apply them to future learning opportunities.

In laymen's terms (all I speak):
HTTP: the language spoke between browsers (netscape, IE, etc...) and webservers. Don't fret it, you don't have to learn HTTP to be a top-notch web developer

URL: the internet address of a web page (www.yahoo.com is a URL).

Hope this helps!

Whats really important too, is to have a good eye for colors, fonts, etc. While you wont learn to be a publisher, there are rules for how many fonts to use on a page, what typefaces are better for what purpose, etc. All these things go into making quality web pages that stand out. After you have learned all this, then it's time for the fun stuff, which involves more programming, things like.... XML (a way of
