Web Page Link With Access Database

    Locked

    by agoyal ·

I have created a “table” in microsoft access and created a page which displays the contents for that table. I can display the page on the web and enter data, which goes into the database. But I do not know how to have search function e.g. search by lastname and it displays the rest of the information. How can I add a search functionality in my Page?

Create an ASP page that consists of a form with a text box and your submit button. The action of your submit button will be to open a second ASP page that will display the results of your search in a table. On the second page with the Open event request the data in the page1.textbox and use an ADO.recordset to query your DB for the desired data. Then loop through the recordset to build your table on the second ASP page.
