Using Lotus Notes Domino Web Server version 1.5 to host our own web site. The site can only be accessed internally (intranet). It cannot be accessed by the outside world. The site is registered. What am I missing? Need ideas on where to start troubleshooting.

Try to ping the address your ISP gave you from outside the network. If you are using a separate firewall check the settings to make sure it is allowing traffic to the server. If you will post the ip address your ISP assigned to you I will be glad to try to help.

If the domain name is WHITLOCKPKG.COM then you have a DNS problem with your primary DNS server EDNS.WHITLOCKPKG.COM.

It is not resolving anything and is returning an "unspecified error" to all queries.

I'd start by looking at your DNS and making sure that you have the proper zone files in place for your site.

The DNS is fine ie. I type in your www domain in the browser and it is resolving for an IP address. Tracing the route (have you tried any of these) brings me to a router (Whitlock-packaging-174708.cust-RTR.swbell.net) but from there the hops time out. My guess is that you need to establish a rule on your firewall to pass traffic on port 80 in. Generally these things are something small and simple. Hopefully this will help. Presumably the router is on your site?
