Web page prints cutting off on rhs

By CMB from Omaha ·
A silly, but annoying issue: web pages that don't quiiiite fit onto 8-1/2 by 11 inch pages, cutting off characters on the right-hand-side as a result. (I should make it clear that I'm printing someone else's content, not writing the persnickety pages myself).

Is there any way around this problem, other than printing with landscape page orientation? Thanks in advance.

2 ways.

1. Click the button if provided by the website "printable version"

2. Highlight the text and pictures you want printed, hit ctrl+p or file-->print and select "Selection".

If it doesn't have printable version, try changing the margin settings. File\Page setup\Margins.
Sometimes it works enough to give you a complete page.

Unfortunately I don't think there is an easy way out of it.

Try the points above, and also reducing the 'text size' in Internet Explorer may help - from the VIEW menu, select TEXT SIZE, and then select SMALLEST.

You could also try a different browser, such as Mozilla or Opera. I don't know if these will be any different, but they are more likely to pay attention to humble details like these than MS perhaps....

It sounds to me like I would check to see what video size the page is at to view it, and then if it's bigger than 800 x 600, move it to 800 x 600 to print. That will get everything onto a 8-1/2 x 11 piece of paper, in "portrait" orientation.

If however, your resolution is already at 800 x 600 and your still having to "scroll to the right" to see the rest of a webpage, the I would adjust the TEXT SIZE, as someone suggested above.
