Web sites and security Certificates

By paul.s.kyle ·
We have three XP pro based PC's in a simple workgroup. We subscibe to a comercial Web site who have issued us with a certificate to allow use of the site. Problem is that it does not appear to work properly. It works fine for a day or two but then access to the site is blocked. 1st time the certificate had to be changed, 2nd time required it to be reinstalled. It has happened a third. IE is reporting the certificate as being present and valid. Is it a problem with the certificate or an XP problem? Can Anyone suggest how I might resolve the problem.

It may be due to the certificate for the root authority having expired. It seems to be a problem on WindowsUpdate as well with root certificates expiring resulting in no access to the site. Please post more info if you can.
