I’ve just installed Windows 2000 server + Exchange server 2000 for my LAN. I rent web hosting for my site and use its POP3 feature for retrieval using Outlook.
The problem is:
After I tested send/receive from Outlook, I couldn’t retrieve my POP3email again nor open my site again. It turned out that my web hosting provider has blocked access from my IP, because they found out that my IP tried to open PORT 135 in the web hosting server. From the reference i know that PORT 135 is related to Message Queuing Service, so I remove the component from the server. It was okay at first. I could send internet mail from my Outlook, but still I couldn’t retrieve POP3. Then I restart the Outlook, after that, my IP was blocked again (cause of PORT 135 again).
What happened? Why did Outlook still try to open PORT 135? If I use Outlook Express everything’s okay, but, my boss wants to use Outlook for both intranet and internet mail. How do I fix this? Help!
