I have a friend who has a cable modem and is running AOL 9.0. Once he logs into AOL and is on their homepage, any link he clicks on, doesn't resolve. He has network connectivity because I've had him to launch and browse using IE. He can also click on any link and have it resolve. Any suggestions has to what his problem is and how I can go about trying to solve it?

I've suggested he just use IE, or unistall 9.0 and install 8.0, but AOL users are very "LOYAL USERS":)) Thanks in advance.

It has been suggested to him to try and stop and start RAS Man, but he's unable to do so. He is a local admin on the machine, but that option is grayed out to him.

AOL uses propietary protocols for browsing so normal TCPIP or IE tips do not work.
Is he using the AOL then he should contact AOL for support.

He's contacted AOL's helpdesk w/ NO luck in resolving the issue. The suggestions he's gotten from them include, contact the manufacturer of the computer, contacting MS for support on W2K, and contacting his internet provider. To me, the issue is with AOL b/c he's able to connect and browse the internet just fine.
