Several Issues

by TheChas In reply to webpage links

The first issue, is with long links. They often get broken in the mail. This happens most when the recipient has the viewing pane set narrower than your composing pane.

A good way around this is to use a link referencing site like tinyurl.com

They take a link like this:

http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-6230-0.html?forumID=101&threadID=240152&start=0

and convert it to this:

http://tinyurl.com/2sptgt

Place each link on it's own line to further improve the chances of your links arriving intact.

The second major issue is that many Exchange servers and security programs wipe links out of messages in order to increase security.
