What can be the problem with my Nokia connections?

I have 2 cell phpnes: Nokia 2630 and 5000. I bought a cable (CA-50) and download and installed Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Ovi Suite but none of the programs recognize the cells when I try to connect.

I have a Toshiba lap with an Athlon X2 chip and Windows Vista. Can anyone please help me?
