Did you upgrade to win2000? Toshiba has a detailed explaination of 'how to' which includes updating the mouse driver. IN ANY EVENT try dowloading and installing the latest mouse driver from TOSHIBA. http://www.csd.toshiba.com /cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp
Had the same problem and fixed it this way a few months ago. Let me know if this helps or you need assistance with the driver.
can we have more background? did this ever used to work? suddenly stopped? never worked? what changed? make sure touchpad is enabled in BIOS and that no other serial devices are conflicting with it. internal modem? Palm cradle? try disabling in BIOSall serial (com) ports for a test...do you have external mouse attached and expect them both to work at same time? how does touchpad look in device manager? is there anything in event viewer and failing to load driver? does sound like you need to reload the driver if none of the above...
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
What caused the mouse to freeze?
alt/F(x) keys work, tab works etc. Mouse touchpad is dead in the water. Is this a driver issue?
