WHAT COMPONENTS WOULD BE NEEDED TO CONNECT A T1 LINE TO MY LAN

WHAT COMPONENTS WOULD I HAVE ON A SHOPPING LIST TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT?

10 PC'S, 5 PRINTERS, 3 FAX LINES, ONE BUILDING, ONE FLOOR

You would need

To make sure that this line is able to be run into the office. If you are in a big city it should be fine but where were are can only just get your basic ADSL.

Then you will need to get a router that will support this. It would be best to talk to your ISP as they probably have a router of choice for you.

A Modem is all that you would require here

And even then your ISP who supplies the T1 Line should be supplying this. After it's setup you can either run the T1 Modem to a Gateway Computer to host your LAN or directly tot he LAN itself depending on what you want or what is possible from the supplied ISP Hardware.

T-1 equipment

There is a huge market out there for T-1 equipment. The best is Adtran and they would allow you to break the line into all the uses you seek, either individual lines or just feeding a modem and router to handle the PCs. The FAX lines would need to be "broken: out seperately so you'll have to have some termination control setup.
