I’ve been using my 56K external modem for some time now. But recently i’ve been unable to get a connection. When i click More Info from the Modem/Control Panel, everything looks OK. But when i try to dial, I’m able to hear it dial out, hear the usual noises, but then suddenly it will disconnect. When I try to reconnect, there’s a message saying the port is already opened. I have to restart my PC again before i can redial. But the same thing will keep on repeating itself. Hope some one there canhelp me.
