That was very amusing, and far too true.

The picture in the UK isn't as bad yet, but the underlying trend is the same.

Any parent who recommends IT as a career to their child is failing them badly. If like many of us it's your hobby that by some strange circumstance you can get paid for, all well and good.

However no one promised easy, if you don't enjoy IT in and of itself, it will not be worth the effort, it barely is for those of us who get off on it.

A virtual destructor is the destructor in a virtual class

I have got to read that book !

Guess this is the only way, really. And that's what I tell any youngster patient enough to listen at the garrulous old me:

Yea, programming is fun- until the 1st deadline.
