What is CCNA about?

By Bentella ·
Pls, I'm stuck between choosing CCNA and MCSE certification training. I'd wanted to go for MCSE but my IT counsellor is trying to convince me to go for CCNA based on the short course duration of 4Months of 240hrs and the fact that I lack previous experience. Pls, note that it is a scholarship program and all my group colleagues have switched to CCNA on being presented with the syllabus for both and the numbers of exams you are required to sit for. Someone should Pls help me cause, I'm confused. Thanks in advance!

I think you need to look at what you want to be doing down the road. MCSE would be more along the lines of Computer/Server support and CCNA is for Cisco and more networking support. Both are going to require studying and a good understanding of whichever you choose. If you do not see yourself wanting to get into the networking aspect, I would not switch over as in the long run it will not be as beneficial to you.
