What is "EDO" memory?

By wayneinreno ·
I have a system here thats a H/P Platinum 2260. It says on the front that it has 32MB
of edo RAM. Upgeadeable to 128. Now if I upgrade, do I purchase DIMM memory, or SIMM memory?

Hey soul thanks I still have time to hit the compusa. I will get SIMM memory 32MB, that will be two, the one inside already, and the one I will pick up. You mentioned pairs, and I read something about that. SIMM is in pairs, and DIMM is not. I am hoping I don't have two 16"s already. If so can I use a 32 with the two 16"s?
