Every morning, it seems, my computer’s response time is slowed because “SDSRV.EXE” is running. I’m running NT 4.0 Workstation on a PII 300 machine that I leave powered up overnight so that I can optimize my hard drives and run virus scans without interfering with my work day. I suspect that SDSRV.EXE is probably an agent of Norton Utilities Speed Disk, but I haven’t been able to find anything that definitively says so.
1. Is this actually an agent of Speed Disk?
2. If so, is there some way that I can affect its operation (short of ending the process) so that it also runs at night–or at any other time than first thing in the morning?
