What is suitable GLUE to re-attach a laptop keyboard key ?

Go on guys – have a good guffaw on me!

I’m beginning to hear the not-so-distant ‘Death Knell’ of my Acer 1363.

I’ve already had TR topics regarding this Acer:
1. The TSST 532L-A DVD-Dual drive is kaput. All current installs are accomplished via network link to a Toshiba-Seimens tower.

2. The Acer battery lost it’s staying power about a year ago – can’t rely on it for more than about 9 minutes.

3. The HDD is currently spitting out errors on EVERY boot. Copying of the PQ-Service hidden partition is currently underway for inclusion into new HDD.

4. I’ve now just witnessed my ‘ \ ‘ key come away attached to the pinky of my left hand!!! It’s a pleasant looking little key, if thinner than I imagined it to be.

The nipple that now sits proudly where the key used to hide it, is a curiously-wobbly rubber affair. I’m beginning to feel guilty having repeatedly bashed this poor little nipple so, so many times over the last 31 months.

I was just going to grab my nearby supply of what we Brits call Super Glue – but then thought the acrylic content might eat the rubber nipple.

Any thoughts?

As a side order question:

How long d’you reckon I’ve got before the TFT dies on me ? After all, it’s the only component left that hasn’t died!! 😀
