Mobile phones nowadays cover most of the functions of traditional PDAs to the extent that some PDAs even pretend to be mobile phones. Seeing the writing on the wall, Sony recently stopped making their excellent line of Clie PDAs.

For a couple of years I have had a Symbian-based Nokia 6600. It stores my contacts, email addresses, bookmarks and reminders and a few MB of files. Plus sends my emails and acts as a web browser, an emergency camera and video recorder.

Factually and actually the one that works for you and has a life time of 3 to 5 years ! Mine I can carry but do I want too ? (PDA is my PC tower)

The best you will get here with the question you posed is options, not a definitive answer !

You did not define what it has to do nor what you will use it for.

the best pda would probably be one which runs on windows mobile 5. even palm is changing its operating system to windows. however the best pda would be the imate jasjar which runs on windows mobile 5. it is also a phone and supports wifi and wmcda and probably edge.
another good pda would be the imate k-jam. its almost the same as the jasjar but has a processor not as powerfull as the jasjar and the screen is slightly smaller and cheaper aswell.
