That doesn’t really depend on if you are a first-time gamer but on the games you want to play the next 4 years. Some games are more demanding than others.

So check the recommended system requirements of the games you want to play now to see what you good enough for you. Then buy a gaming PC that’s a little bit better, because it’s likely games in 2028 will be more demanding than games now and you want to be future proof, don’t you.

      Things that are relevant:
      – CPU
      – GPU
      – amount of RAM
      – disc space for all games combined and other things you want to do with the PC.
For the GPU it’s relevant if you want to have enough power to play 4K 144 Hz or are happy with 1920*1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

It’s generally the GPU that uses the power, so cooling and PSU should be adequate. With a ready made dedicated gaming PC they usually are.

Don’t hesitate to ask more once you know more.

This is a very good recommendation. I would suggest starting out you should weight your options to see if youre going to need a higher end graphics card or high storage space.

Id say a good price for a starter if you’re on a budget is around $1,000. Anything less than that and you might have issues. You can either build a PC or buy a prebuilt. If you have knowledge about the internals of a PC and you do your research, building a PC is usually better.
