Don’t attempt to open unknown/untrustworthy internet sites or links. Technically, to be truly safe you won’t connect to the internet at all and just use the installed files/applications on your device. But that’s no fun at all.

Never use public WiFi Hot Spots if you have WiFi, do not use Wireless Networking always use Ethernet Cabling it is generally faster “Depending on you Internet connection speed” and doesn’t suffer from interference from things like Fluro Lights and other electrical equipment.

Chose a half way decent secure Browser and only ever use that, never click on a banner add and when it comes to e mail never trust the links provided in the e mail always go to that site through a bookmarked or search out the company banks in particular I’ve seen some that look better than the actually Banks Web Site but when you look at the web address that are not the bank you are sending you log in data straight to the people who want your money.

If you get an e mail from a friend requesting money contact them and speak to them directly it is not an uncommon occurrence for them to get their E Mail account cracked and all their contacts get the same e mail.

Absolutely never respond to a unsolicited call no matter how you get it and never click on Banner Adds on Web Pages only ever provide your Bank Account Details over the net to a place you have logged into and are buying something from and even then use a secured payment method Pay Pal, Credit Cards and so on are the best way to pay but never directly from your Bank Account.

Never allow any other person no matter how well you think you know them to use your computer you have no idea what they have done and if it has become infected. The same applies to Remote login’s to your computer by people telling you that they will fix the problems that they are telling you about when they call and never install any software you have downloaded from the NET unless it is directly from the maker and even then be careful what you are looking at. May be perfectly safe but it only takes 1 wrong time to empty bank accounts which can be done in under a few seconds long before you’ll ever know what has happened.

Ideally you should put the system in a sub sub basement with not stairs or any other form of access now power points or pretrials like keyboards any form of Wireless Connection or better still no way for a person to get there.

Failing that a condom fitted over the rolled over the Ethernet cable plug and fitted into it’s socket on the computer and the other end of the lead will add a layer of security that is hard to beat if no one else is allowed near the system.

Also install a good AV Program which doesn’t kil
