What is this folder at the root of the Windows 7 system?

I have a folder named "2df2a806a294e432d04e0d842b79" at the root of the C drive. I wonder what it is for?

AND Windows creates temporary folders like these (Random characters) for exploding installation files from updates executables downloaded from Microsoft Update for installation and then delete them but in this case may be leftover by some bug in the update. This happens many times fro Updates from Microsoft.

(Is the folder that the Install Files are copied to when Windows is initially installed on the system.

Though it may have a different name depending on the version of 7 and several other factors.
