What is "Trixie"? How do I get rid of it?

By schira_enterprises ·
When I try to open any folder on desktop, A pop up occurs trying to install Trixie , says it can't because files can't be found, I cancel operation twice before it disappears. I'm not connected to internet when this occurs. Windows XP sp2. Thanks

If it is,

that is one seriously borked install.

Of course, since it is .NET dependent, and IE is so integrated into the OS, I suppose it isn't terribly surprising to see this behavior.

Try removing it like any other program?

If it is unable to uninstall normally as well, try the Revo Uninstaller.

uninstall...

if you manage to get it un-installed, you may want to run CCleaner as well (removes temp files and also has a nifty little registry scanner that removes broken reg keys...etc). just to try and remove any other traces of it before you re-install (if you so desired)...CCleaner can be found at http://www.filehippo.com
