What Patch is available for download?

    Locked

    by rprzybylow ·

I am new to IT. I have 3 hard drives one is blank, 1 has a copy of Vista and one is my host Hard drive. My question is how can I boot from usb and actually boot my external HDD in its own OS?

When i started school a few years ago I was given a patch to use my hard drive on any PC. It would comeup as a virus so I do not use it anymore, But i really need to get into my second HDD. I have infected it with Anti-Virus 2009 so I can learn how to remove it.

    Please help

    Robert

There may be an option to boot USB devices.

So what OS is your “Host” and what OS has the Virus?

Or you could just blow it all away and reinstall, vista or what ever you have a license for…

Also what was the patch running on? XP?

I have a growing certainty that AntiVirus2009 uses the RTC to decide when to pounce (indeed, when to up the stakes!), so if this “infection” took place a while ago, by the time you boot to it, it will most probably already be too late. The virus will be so prevalent you may well lose everything on that HDD, because you’ll have to format and then do a clean install.

*Whatever USB device you use to boot to the infected drive will also end up infected. 😉
