What to do about PCI bridges\controllers

By brantsden ·
I have run fdisk to get rid of old information on our computers before we reuse them and when I reinstall Windows 98 I can't get the pci bridges or controllers to work correctly. I have tried installing drivers and that doesn't seem to work either. Any suggestions?

First, are you installing Windows 98SE? It sees more than previous releases of 98. Second, find the system CD that came with the PC(s) and search for the drivers on there. Third, look to the motherboard site for updated drivers. This can be very annoying!! Good luck.

The pci bridge and controllers are installed as you use network cards or others. Try installing a network card to a clean computer. it will search for controllers, point it to the install floppy or cd.
