What type of Motherboard is it?

    by tevad56 ·

I’m a 2nd semester networking/programming student. At a recent trade show I found a Matsonic dual-processor motherboard, ser. no. Fg84143044. It’s a Slot 1, but I want to use dual Celeron’s. (I already have the adapters to change to socket 370.) It supports up to P-II 300, or Celeron 533. I got it to learn about server’s. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks…

Here is the URL for Matsonic’s home page.To find out more about the motherboard you have found.Get the Model/part number of the board. It’s number begins with an MS-xxxx-x.
      Also,note which chipset is used.Intel,VIA,SIS.

I already knew this information. I wanted specifics about the board. I went to the web page the first thing. They didn’t have enough information there to help me in my search. Thanks anyway.

I’d like to help you.Without the part number I can not help you.The serial number is of no use.you need to give us the number. It looks like this “MS7036D/E”.I’ve searched the Matsonic web site.No dual processor boards are listed.None that I could find.

http://support.tigerdirect.com/main/Manuals/manuals.html lists a manual for a dual processor matsonic MS-7070. This is the only dual processor board I could find – hope the information helps. However, Matsonic’s site http://www.matsonic.com/ms7070sd.htm lists the board as supporting higher speeds than you listed. Post the model number of your board and I can provide you with additional information.

Thnaks for the snippet of info. Unfortunately, I cannot find a number ANYWHERE on the motherboard. Believe you me brother, I have a workbench magnifying glass and couldn’t kind doodley squat. My only other solution is to set a processor to it andfire it up and look in the BIOS. Thanks anyway.
