What would be the best WiFi security software?

    Hiya ya all.
I was wondering what you people think is the best WIFI network blocker? I have PC-Cillin that i am trying out but it keeps saying I have people on my network; tho, there is a red “X”. Are they actually still on my wifi? I have an Acer Aspire 5630 XP Pro mediacenter.

Btw, i am a newbie to the site and I really am liking this one so far.

    HAG1 all.

To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access and protect your own wireless sessions from snoopers, enable WPA2 (if available) with AES encryption on your wireless router/access point and PC, with an appropriate network key.

If you want to block ALL wireless access (i.e., not use wireless at all), simply disable wireless on your wireless router/access point.

      I hope this helps.

Thx for the replies. Tho, I have not tried Mcafee yet, but as for disabling, I have done that, but Pc-cillin still tells me someones on my network. If you have any more options I could take, that would be great.

          Network intruders?

Turn off your wireless router/access point for a minute or so, then verify that wireless is disabled. It wouldn’t hurt to restart your computer as well. At that point, your computer and any other computer plugged into your router should be the only ones on your network.
