In an attempt to do a little forward planning (I just know I’m going to get caught out by unexpected visitors at some stage! 🙂 ) I’d like to be at least half ready to throw together something spectacular-ish.
As it’s been five long years since my working week in Vegas, the memories are beginning to fade on the wonderful brunch I had there, so I need inspiration.
In particular, I’m looking for a recipe for those delicious southern type American biscuits – the ones that Kentucky Fried Chicken used to do over here, but now don’t. I love those!
I’ve already remembered the ham, eggs, bacon and hash browns, the salmon (lox – why you call ’em that anyways?!) but the rest is a fading memory…… sadly.
This little lot is going to be in a state of readiness for unexpected guests, for the most part, but as I should have time for a tester before I go back to work, I’d like a trial run sometime this week.
Please don’t mention grits: the one thing I do still vividly remember is that I couldn’t stand ’em! 😀
