What's the best way to block HTTP port?

By ohJani ·
i hv some pc which are using Win98SE and with built in modem. now i want to assign some users to use those pc to only FTP files to a fix IP (a FTP server), but i dun want the users to use those pc to do their own HTTP net surfing or emailing or playing online games. What is the best way to block those pc from being misuse after i've taught them to dial up using the modem? those pc are not network connected, they r all individual stand alone home pc.

Btw, what i meant by "best way" is preferbly a solution which doesnt need to acquire additional s/ware. however, Freeware solution is welcome, thanx.

Windows 98 has no features of its own to do what you want to do with it. Without a firewall or proxy, you will need additional hardware or software. I suggest the free zone alarm at:

Then just shut off port 80.
