What’s the most “compatible” Linux

by spareher . Updated 20 years, 4 months ago

I’ve been using DOS or Windows since 1991 basically (commodore and TRS 80 before that;a little Apple II as well) and am now considering dipping my toes in the big bad world of Linux. There are so many distros out there that I’d like to be sure that I’m choosing the one that gives me the most future options as far as running applications and working with my existing Windows network. Everyone talks about Fedora core but I like what I see in SUSE. What about Ubuntu? Thanks all.
