Dear Builder.com community
I am researching some of the more popular web technologies for server-side database programming and application development. As in PHP, CF, ASP, and now ASP.NET. Keep in mind that I am just starting out in web programming with experience in HTML, JavaScript, & CSS.
I would like to know which technology to start programming for my personal website that stores poems, short stories and online discussion. (I hope to expand on it later with the named technolgoies). I would like to start on one technology and later down the line master so I may have personal experience when actually getting a professional gig later down the line. Any suggestions and/or advice in this matter will be very helpful. Thank you for your time.
