What’s the password at Login

How can I reset the password to be able to log in to Windows XP Pro.
I upgraded a PC from Windows ME to Win XP Pro
and it set a Password.
I tried login in as the Administrator, but it also has an unknow password.
I have to try to log in to save the data and all the information on that PC.
