WHATS THIS?!!!

OK, on all our Win95 OSR2 installs we see a weird file showing up in our Windows directory.

“??V” (quotes are mine)

It has NO extension. It appears to be some kind of log file. I haven’t been able to donate the time needed to find out just what program puts it there, but we suspect the IE5. We are unable to find anything about this anywhere on the web. Can anyone tell me what this is and what it is used for. It seems not to be essential as we have seen that Norton Disk Doctoreither removes or renames it on some of our systems and everything seems to work OK afterwords.
