What's wrong with my modem

Please help me...
I've accidentally uninstall my internal modem now I cannot surf internet with my internal modem my computer is running under windows 98 so what can I do now? thanks for the Answer.

You will have to reinstall the modem and the drivers,use the add new hardware icon to reinstall the your modem and the drivers.
Check the Device manager and see if their is a modem listed,higlight modem is sub-tree and click on properties this willbring up window that will tell you if the modem is operating properly.If modem is not operating properly remove the modem and start over and manually install the modem from the hardware list.

Windows will detect your modem if you re-start, if not install useing instaling hardware or select modem in control panel and select add

You may also find your modem listed as PCI COMM?UNICTIONS DEVICE in DEVICE MANAGER under OTHER DEVICES when win98 has detected it. Installing the drivers for this device will get you back up and running. When viewed in control pannel will be seen asconnected to COMM 3. All my comments aasume a PCI not ISA card.
