Whatsapp 2021 policy update

Does anyone know more details regarding Facebook/Whatsapp update policy that has recently gone out? Here in South Africa many people are becoming historical.
Does the policy update effect every account or just business account?
What are the implications from a data privacy perspective for individuals?
How much of a risk is it to stay on Whatsapp within this new policy?

https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/updates/privacy-policy/?lang=en tells what they do (outside the European Union, where it’s not allowed).

If you don’t like it, all you can do is stop using Whatsapp or totally separate Whatsapp and Facebook by using it with different credentials on different devices, so you’re 2 different persons for them.

If you belong to European region there are different Terms&conditions and for Non- European region, are another. I would like to give you clarity that WhatsApp clearly stated that messages, location data, call logs, groups, etc adding that none of this data is collected nor is it shared with Facebook, and I think most of the people are thinking about these above points.
