When I create an RSG does it dismount the production mailbox DB?

I am trying to create a Recovery Storage Group on Exchange 2007 server in the cluster. I want to knwo if I create it and try to restore a single mailbox will that dismount the prodcution storage group, mailbox or mailbox db for the user who I might be asked to copy their mail to another users mailbox for review.
