Where are my pictures

By crazy_injun43 ·
I have a friend who has Comcast email client. He is not recieving any of his normal JPEG, BMP, or any other types of formats pictures. We tried installing Java but that did not help. Can anyone help my friend get his pictures back in his emails?

What has Java to do with anything?

by Absolutely In reply to Where are my pictures

You're barking up the wrong tree for sure
with that. Java has nothing to do with
email, nor with image file formats. Comcast
technical support can help your friend with
any problems with attachments. I happen to
know that Comcast does provide "online
storage" of 25 MB per user, and each
subscriber is permitted 7 such users. That
may be a viable alternative too.

A few ideas...

If your friend is using web-based email rather than a separate program like Outlook, have him open up Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu, select Internet Options, click the Advanced tab and use the Restore Defaults button (in IE7, use the 'Restore Advanced Settings' & 'Reset' buttons). Close & reopen IE.
If that doesn't work, have him temporarily disable any spyware and pop-up blockers to see if they are the cause.
