where are the mails?

my window server 2003 and ms exchange was powered off last night.

one user forward some of his other mails to his exchange email address when the server was not powered on.

where did those mails gone ?

there isnt any bounced mails message?

he received those mails when the server was up. where did those mails being kept during machine off time?

You don't say what e-mail system the user sent those messages from. Odds are the server for that system is configured to make repeated attempts to send a message, and that it's set to send 'bounced' messages after a longer period of time than elapsed before your server came back up.
