I think I’ve been here before but,if not, hello to everyone and thanks in advance for any assistance rendered.
My Lenovo R60 9461-DXG seems to be having a graphics chip issue – in otherwords, think it’s on the way out…streaky lines at boot screen and a parity error any time I try to install the correct driver;consequently, Im using an XP generic driver that allows 800×600 res and nothing more.
Anyway, I would like to repair this if possible, as buying a new laptop seems crazy just for this..only had it a few years..would anyone know where I could buy a replacement chipset? I’ve been looking but to no avail..would I need a new motherboard and, again, where can I buy one?
Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.
