Where do I find email address history?

By westernwave ·
MS Outlook retains email addresses of ALL emails sent and received including those not in Contacts. They appear when opening a new email and typing the first letter in "To" or "cc."

I have upgraded my computer, transferred my Contacts but cannot locate the "history" of other email addresses which I would also like to transfer.

Any suggestions?

What version of Outlook do you have?

On different versions of Outlook, there are several places where you can find the backup of e-mails and contacts. Or if you want to just transfer contacts. Export your Address Book, usually you can find the Import/Export menu within File

File>Import/Export

There you can import/export your address book, messages, etc. You can save your export data into an outlook export file which can be imported by later, newer versions of Outlook.

Hi

the "type ahead" list that auto fills the email address list is in a outlook.n2k file,
here is a link to moving that file to a new computer/backup etc
