Where the heck is the "Cell Fill" button on Windows7 Excel?

By Engr76-VPI ·
A friend has Windows7 and wanted to fill in cells as part of a schedule bar graph.
I couldn't find the "Cell Fill Color" function anywhere. In older versions it looks like a bucket with paint pouring out of it. HELP !

on the Home tab right beneath the font options in the Font group, or if you mean the 'Format Painter' it's at the lower right of the Clipboard group directly to the left of the Font group.

This would be in the ribbon. If the ribbon isn't displayed, click the little drop down arrow next to the Quick Access Bar at the top left of the window and to the immediate right of the Office button. You should see the option 'Minimize the ribbon' with a checkmark next to it. Click the checkmark to remove it thereby displaying the ribbon.

When did Windows 7 start having Excel Task Bars?

Silly me always thought that they where always located in the Excel Program not Windows 7.

I saw this as a Trick Question with no answer.

I thoroughly enjoy divining which application is meant from context. Windows-Office conflation is quite popular in my experience as well. At least it is leaps above reference to "the computer" as an indicator.

But that moment of enlightenment, when it comes, like lightning, can be so rewarding.

Just did this on the phone the other day. Getting the other party to click in the appropriate windows on the correct targets without randomly deciding to do some additional operation was an entirely different game of lawn darts.

Could be a game show - WTF Am I Talking About?

Side note- My comments here are not meant to reflect on the OP, really. Just discussing a wider phenomenon.
