Has an idea for a weekly post over the weekend.

Starting with a music era, say the 80’s, name a song from the 80’s and what it reminds you of.
Others can comment on what that song reminds them of or come up with another song in the same era. It seems that whenever a memorable song comes on teh radio, people start to say “I remember the summer thi scame our it was…”

So…could be dumb could be fun??

Men At Work – Who can it be now

When I was about 15 Men At Work was on the radio all day, along with Michael Jackson, Cindi Lauper and Annie Lennox (Eurythmincs at that time)was singing ‘Sweet Dreams”. I had recently come back from one of my first overseas gigs in Germany, where the Eurythmics were absolutely huge at the time, before they broke out in the USA. Living in Rossland, B.C. (BC interior), HOT HOT HOT summer working for Cominco mines and Ford P/T. pretty much all I remember from that summer was drinking a whole lot of beer while cutting down trees for the winter cord of wood and blasting Men at Work’s groundbreaking record.

Somehow that was fun. 🙂
