    Which graphics card from this list should I get for ACAD, Inventor, etc…

    I’m a Mech. Design student, and I’m looking to buy a new 64-bit Dell desktop…my question: which graphics card to get. Here are the choices (listed in the order they appear at Dell):

    -nVidia GeForce 310 512M GDDR3
    -nVidia GeForce GTS 240 1024 MB
    -ATI Radeon HD 5770 1 GB GDDR5
    -nVidia GeForce GTX 260 1792 MB
    -ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5

    I will NOT be playing any games on this sytem. I wil be using AutoCAD, Inventor, 3DS Max, Solidworks, Corel Painter, etc.

    The computer will have an i7-920 proccesor and 12 GB of triple-channel DDR3 memory. Having said all of that, which of those graphics cards should I choose, without overspending for capacity that I won’t need? All intelligent/informed replies welcome!
