I have checked some websites and got little help. Still, if someone can explain it in detail. It will be appreciated.

Why do you think there is one best? And what did the customer service of the shop where you buy the cable say when you asked them what connectors they recommend?

        RJ45

Most of them recommend RJ45 connectors but there are further types in RJ45 connectors which I am not able to understand what is the difference between them.

If you don’t understand what I copied below, then don’t make your own cables, but buy them ready made or let it do by a tech.

          Standard – 8 position, 8 connection, non-shielded.
Shielded – internally shielded connectors that incorporate a connection to shielded cables. May also be termed RJ48.
Ruggedized – include various external parts to protect the device from harsh environments. Also called Hi-Rel, which is short for high-reliability.
10 Pin RJ45 – 10 pin connector used where all serial lines are needed, as with a T1 line.
Miniaturized – smaller footprint version of standard RJ45.

      Or the socket?

For the usual RJ45 we buy them in 1,000 piece bags. They are 5 cents each.

Why are you over analyzing this?

Thanks for your help. I am just analyzing because I do not want to waste my money by buying the wrong product and the supplier from whom I bought the cable told me that if I do not use the right connectors then my cable will also not give me 100% performance.

          Why I asked.

Is this is a nickel part that we pick up by the bag and never seen any issues.

It’s hard to get the wrong RJ45 until you start running into the rare ones Kees noted.

Then ask him what the right ones are.
Probably he’ll say you can buy them from him. Then ask him what’s wrong with the ones mentioned by rproffitt.
