AMD is a better choice for gaming

by annechangmd In reply to Which one is a better gam ...

Obviously, AMD is good for gaming. Its weak point is the temperature. Too heat. Intel is awesome for office use. About the price, both of AMD and Intel had a wide range of price for customers, it depends on your budget

intel is best

In my point of view, Intel is better than AMD, I'm using AMD CPU it's very dull in speed

Which one is a better gaming CPU, AMD or Intel?

Both CPUs are good for gaming, but however AMD offers the stuff at a lower price and with Intel, for playing games, you need a GPU, but with the AMD APUs you don’t need one, they are made for gaming (contains CPU+GPU)…. But still the performance differs at different types of games.
But I am fan of AMD,so I recommend you AMD

Really depends what you need

It really depends what you are looking to do. To just use your computer for gaming, then intel is usually the better option. If you are trying to game + stream + video edit, the Ryzen from AMD have more cores which are better for multiple intensive tasks like those.

AMD!!

Well its AMD for sure, if you look at comparisons and see the CPU Usage % you will see the difference, and the best thing about it is that its cheaper. AMD is not only for gaming, its also for doing other stuff like photo, video editing and heavy work loads.
Again its AMD for sure.

depends on situations

The answer as usual, Depends what you're looking for, if you are gonna play games that prefer single core performance over core count/multi-core performance, Intel is your best bet.

If you have a good budget and wouldn't mind loosing a little in single core and gain a little more in multi-core performance, AMD is your best bet.

But since Intel's 8th gen has launched, even i3s are beating ryzen 5s.

well...

I'm very confused by the answers to this question. Someone even claimed that AMD was better because of built in GPU... If you are comparing CPUs for "gaming" then not having a graphics card is just a waste. And Intel have CPUs with built in GPUs too but they are aimed for office use or light usage.
If you compare them side by side AMD and Intel, same amount of cores, same frequency and some other stuff then you will see that you get more out of Intel, you will get more ingame fps. Intel is always recommended for gaming over AMD however recently AMD have gotten pretty good and mostly at a lower price than its rival in the Intel series. So if you're okay with paying a bit more for slightly more performance then you should go Intel. But if you are doing side stuff other than gaming like rendering videos or photo editing or similar the extra cores from AMD are very helpful.

Intel: very powerful for few tasks/gaming power (max fps/performance)
AMD better at more tasks/work load (rendering etc)

Neither is bad at what i recommend the other one over.
Oh and if you're gonna buy a CPU for the reason it got built in GPU then just get an Xbox or PlayStation...

Much of a Muchness if you ask me.

Both have similar spec's when you compare similar speed CPU's .

As for which is more expensive again for similar Spec CPU's Intel is generally speaking without promotions more expensive and the M'Boards that these CPU's Live on for the Intel Chip Set ones are slightly more expensive than the ones for AMD.

However saying that from my experience the Intel CPU's on a Intel Chipset M'Board is far more reliable and will take much more mistreatment than a AMD one will.

When you compare similar Speced CPU.'s on similar speced M'Boards with the same usage Intel ones last the longest.

So while AMD may be cheaper initially you get better value for your Money with Intel CPU's

Therefore it all boils down to which one you prefer and Personal Preference is something that no one else can provide you with as it is unique to you.
