I receive this error on boot with a clients machine. She said she had been uninstalling all sorts of stuff and this error message popped up after reboot.
“While initializing device ios: error: an io subsytem driver failed to load. either a file in the .\iosubsys subdirectory is corrupt or the system is low on memory”
I looked through the bootlog.txt file and found these failed loads.
C:\windows\sytem\iosubsys\rmm.pdr
C:\windows\sytem\iosubsys\bigmem.drv
I tried to ren them in the iosubsys folder but I keep getting error message saying file not found. The iosubsys directory cannot be found either. I tried to remove the attributes with the attrib command but the directory is not found. I did a dir /s rmm.pdr and bigmem.drv and no files are found.
Any ideas on why these files and directory are not showing up?
